Picture it orange and it fills the sky.
Light is so blinding that it burns your eyes
Picture it orange and it makes my cry

Kensey was never somebody to bluff.
He could see things that I couldn’t see.
Kensey was fearsome but he wasn’t tough;
he was strangely distant as if in a dream…

One day he told me, "I am afraid."
I asked him why he said, "I have seen."
I looked at him funny as if to explain,
And when he told me I couldn’t believe –

"Picture the orange, and it filled the sky.
Light was so blinding that it burned the eyes."

Kensey began to drift further away.
I went to see him withdrawn and transcent.
He gestured for stillness and screamed with his eyes.
He opened his mouth and said, "This is the end."

Then we saw orange and it filled the sky.
Light was so blinding that it burned our eyes.
We saw the orange and it made us cry, cry, cry…
